Today I went to the doctors to get my results on some test I had taken. I am so grateful to the Lord that the results came back a lot better than I expected. I knew God would answer, but I gotta admit I was a bit nervous. I want to thank my AWE family and everyone that prayed for me :)

For those of you who don’t know, I have had Lupus for almost 2 years now.  My condition is pretty mild and is easily controlled by medication.

But, about a month and a half ago my doctors noticed that I was losing protein through my kidneys (about 3.1 grams). They adjusted my medication and scheduled me to come back a month later.  I went to my next appointment expecting to hear better news, only to find out that I was now losing 5.8 grams of protein.  My doctor immediately ordered me a 3 time infusion treatment and increased some of my medication to avoid having to use a stronger treatment.  The medications that I take are called immunosuppressant’s, which means they lower my immune system.  As a result of the high doses of medication, I got an internal infection on my right leg that hurt so bad I couldn’twalk.  I asked my Pastor and some friends and family to pray with me.

Today I want to thank God because I am no longer in pain. The results I received today were an answer from God! My kidneys are functioning well. I am now losing under a gram of protein, which is a whole lot closer to normal.  Now instead of having to use a stronger treatment my doctors are working on slowly taking me off of some medications.
